Last Friday I posted a blog talking about cheat days.
Typically I use Friday’s as cheat days, but today I had to take one. Most of
you following my blog know that my grandmother is in the hospital for a
scheduled surgery. Her surgery was yesterday, and she is in ICU for a few days
before moving to a step-down unit. After I worked this morning, I
took today to spend some time with her and relieve my mom of her over night
stay so she could get to work for a few hours this afternoon. She is where she
needs to be as far as recovery right now and she’s talking /responding so well.
Thank you to everyone who has sent messages, calls, and texts (especially my
medical buddies and the praying warriors). You all are awesome! I am so
grateful to be surrounded by such caring people. After leaving the hospital I treated myself to
a hot turkey, cheddar, and granny smith apple on wheat bread at a local pub (Sounds
weird, but it was delicious and somewhat healthy, I guess.) Oh, and I also had some fried pickles. (YUMMM!)
Back at the gym
tomorrow for leg day! ( Ps: Because today was the cheat day, I will be in the gym Friday. Remember, don't take 2 cheat days in a week!)
